Acompanhando online o reflorestamento da Amazônia

A VALE lançou a campanha Minha Árvore com objetivo de divulgar a ação de reflorestamento da Floresta Nacional de Carajás, em plena Amazônia.

Na ocasião, a companhia convocou vários jornalistas a comparecer a um evento no qual foi lançada, de forma virtual, a Ilha Amazônia - dentro da rede social Second Life. Os jornalistas eram convidados a plantar uma muda virtual. Ao final do evento, recebiam um certificado com uma foto da sua árvore plantada no mundo real, dentro da reserva.

Através do microsite, os usuários acompanhavam o evento ao vivo por vídeo em streamming. E após o evento, os jornalistas poderiam pesquisar como andava o crescimento da sua muda através da busca pelo nome de batismo da árvore.

Projeto premiado com a medalha de ouro no Prêmio Colunistas 2008, na categoria Institucional ou Corporativo / Websites, e também medalha de ouro no Prêmio ABERJE 2009, na categoria Gestão de Mídia Digital / Websites.

Tracking the reforestation of the Amazon online

VALE had launched the Minha Árvore ("My Tree") campaign in order to publicize the reforestation of the Carajás National Forest, in the Amazon.

At the occasion, the company had invited several journalists to attend an event which was launched virtually, called "Amazon Island", within the social network Second Life. They were invited to plant virtual trees. At the end of the event, they received a certificate with a photo of their actual trees planted in the Carajás Forest.

Through the microsite the users could follow the event via live video streaming. And after the event the journalists could also follow the growth of their tree by searching its name.

Project awarded with the gold medal on the Prêmio Colunistas 2008 Award, in the category Institutional or Corporate / Websites, and also awarded with gold medal in ABERJE 2009 Award in the category of Digital Media Management / Websites.
